Photographic records exist of some of her work, some of which she gave away to family and friends, some of which was sold. More pictures were taken for the purpose of this website from pieces she had stored. Without Rosalie here to inform on what she thinks should be displayed, it has been an interesting exercise to select a few pieces of what is still an unknown quantity of work.

Rosalie did not name her paintings. Titles have been invented for the purpose of this website and filing. The names are not an indication of how she saw some of her work. Her work spans 50 years and is estimated to be in the hundreds of items.

Water Color by Rosalie Christensen

Rosalie did not keep many of her water colors.

Most were sold to support her family in Hawaii when she was married in the late 1950's to early 1960. Overall she completed scores of Hawaiian scene water colors, many of which were purchased by hotels and collectors in Hawaii. She also illustrated children's books, greeting cards and a cartoon for the local paper.
